Old Glory signs Bay of Plenty hooker Nic Souchon

Old Glory DC have announced the signing of Nic Souchon for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 25-year-old hooker arrives from the Bay of Plenty in New Zealand’s National Provincial Championship.

Souchon made his senior debut with Canterbury in 2018 and would earn NZ Universities honors the following year after captaining Lincoln University. He made the switch to Otago in 2019, making three NPC starts, and then joined the Steamers in 2020.

DC now has three hookers committed for the upcoming campaign. Uruguay international Facundo Gattas returns for a second season, while USA u23 captain Jack Manzo was selected in the Collegiate Draft.
