San Diego re-signs veteran flanker Dan Pryor

The San Diego Legion have re-signed flanker Dan Pryor for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. A former New Zealand Māori representative, the 34-year-old returns for a third year in SoCal after making the move from Japan late in the 2021 campaign.

Pryor stayed busy in 2022, taking the starting No6 role with 14 appearances and a dozen starts. He was part of a flanker rotation that included former England captain Chris Robshaw, Canadian international Michael Smith, and Australian arrival Rohan O’Regan.

San Diego now has five loose forwards confirmed for 2023, with No8 Tevita Tameilau joining Pryor on the returning list. Newcomers thus far include former Scotland starter Blair Cowan, Tongan age-grade select Tupou Afungia, and Australian prospect Finn Kearns.
