NOLA Gold snap up ex-LA fullback Jordan Trainor

NOLA Gold have added another dynamic attacker to their backline arsenal. Former New Zealand u20 fullback Jordan Trainor has signed a two-year deal through the 2024 Major League Rugby season. The 26-year-old’s rights were acquired in the first round of last month’s Dispersal Draft.

Trainor joined the LA Giltinis on a one-year deal from Auckland in 2022. He immediately established himself as the first choice at No15 and played in 13 games, all starts, missing just three due to injury. In recent months he again suited up for Auckland in the Bunnings NPC.

The Gold have also added Scottish international Dougie Fife and USA Falcons three-quarter Cael Hodgson to their outside back stable during the off-season. Three newcomers with Super Rugby experience will act as distributors – scrumhalf Luke Campbell, flyhalf Rodney Iona, and center Jordan Jackson-Hope.
