Brazil’s Wilton Rebolo to play Super Rugby with Western Force

Wilton Rebolo is set to become the first Brazilian to play in Super Rugby. The 27-year-old has signed on with the Western Force after winning a Major League Rugby title with Rugby New York in 2022.

Since debuting for Os Tupis at the age of 20, Rebolo has been a fixture when available with 34 caps for Brazil. A renowned scrummager who can play across the front row, he has been used interchangeably at hooker and tighthead prop for both club and country.

Rebolo is the second South American front rower signed on with the Force for 2023 along with Pumas tighthead Santiago Medrano. Former Brazil flyhalf David Harvey played with the club during the 2012 season, but didn’t make his international debut until three years later.
