Eagles return to club duty in Premier 15s

Seven members of the USA’s World Cup team will return to club duty in England’s Premier 15s this weekend. Several North American players featured in the competition last season but some are expected to skip out after a grueling year preparing for the tournament in New Zealand.

Saturday will see Exeter Chiefs traveling to Darlington Mowden Park with three Eagles in the match-day squad. Gabby Cantorna runs out in the No12 shirt while tighthead prop Charli Jacoby and flanker Rachel Johnson are on the bench.

Sale Sharks are on the road against Worcester on Sunday and will be captained by USA flanker Georgie Perris-Redding. Catie Benson starts at loosehead prop, with Alycia Washington at No8 and Katana Howard at inside center. Scrumhalf Carly Waters is on the bench. Washington has only recently returned from injury and missed out on the World Cup campaign.

There are no Canadian internationals taking part in the six games this weekend. The Maple Leafs were in action two weeks longer than the Eagles, ultimately reaching the Bronze Final against France.
