Old Glory DC have re-signed loose forward Fintan Coleman for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 23-year-old is originally from Limerick and represented Ireland u18 after turning out for Munster’s age-grade teams. He US-eligible through his American father.
Coleman arrived in the nation’s capital ahead of the 2022 campaign and would go on to appear in all but one of Old Glory’s matches, with four starts. Primarily used on the blindside flank, he lined up across the back row and also filled in at lock on three occasions.
At 6’4″ (1.93m) Coleman adds size and athleticism to Old Glory’s back row stocks. Eagles duo Cory Daniel and Jamason Fa’anana-Schultz will return, along with Canadian international Luke Campbell. There are two new flankers for 2023 in Army’s Collin Grosse and former Argentina XV captain Lautaro Bavaro.
