Arrows sign Australian scrumhalf Will Grant

The Toronto Arrows have added a third scrumhalf for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. Will Grant arrives from West Harbour club in Sydney. The 23-year-old is Canadian-eligible through his maternal grandmother who hails from British Columbia.

Grant is originally from Rouchel, Australia, but broke into professional rugby in New Zealand’s National Provincial Championship. He spent three seasons with Northland, before returning to his home country to start every game for the Pirates during the 2022 Shute Shield campaign.

Incumbent starter Ross Braude and Cole Brown, who debuted last season, have both been retained by Toronto for 2023. Canada u20 select Sam Reimer is currently playing with the Pacific Pride, while Andrew Ferguson and Chris Bell are not returning to the Arrows.
