Rugby ATL have revealed four overseas signings ahead of the 2023 Major League Rugby season. Incoming are hooker Ben Strang, a pair of locks in Jordan Brown and Nahuel Milán, and utility back Rewita Biddle. All four have signed multi-year agreements with Milán and Brown committed through 2024, while Strang and Biddle have signed on until 2025.
Milan is the senior player of the group at 25 years old. The 6’7″ (2.00m) giant played for the Argentina XV in wins over the test sides of Georgia and Portugal earlier this year. He spent a year abroad in Italy before spending the past two seasons playing for Uruguay-based Peñarol in SLAR.
Brown is another imposing figure at 6’7″ (2.01m) and 260lbs (118kg), albeit much less experienced at just 21 years old. The Australian made his senior Shute Shield debut for Southern Districts while still a teenager in October of 2020.
Strang and Biddle are both from New Zealand. The former is just 20 years old but already has two seasons of NPC experience with Manawatu, while the latter is 24 years old and spent time playing professionally in Russia with Slava Moscow in 2021. Strang has played for New Zealand Universities while Biddle suited up for the New Zealand Sevens side at the Oktoberfest tournament in Germany in 2019.
