The Toronto Arrows have re-signed first choice scrumhalf Ross Braude for the 2023 Major League Rugby campaign. It will be the third season in the blue and white for the Canadian international after making the move overseas from his home in Pretoria, South Africa.
Despite being just 22 years old, Braude is already firmly established in match day lineups for both Toronto and Canada. This past season saw him playing 10 matches, all starts, and he won his 10th test cap in July. Injury forced him out of six games for the Arrows.
Toronto used nine players at scrumhalf in 2022, including regular flyhalf Sam Malcolm. Andrew Ferguson, Chris Bell, and Cole Brown all suffering season-ending injuries. Braude is the first returning scrumhalf to be confirmed. Canada u20 select Sam Reimer is currently playing for the Pacific Pride.
