The Toronto Arrows have confirmed contract extensions for two of their top young prospects. Tighthead prop Tyler Rowland and outside back Kobe Faust are the latest returning players to commit for the 2023 Major League Rugby season.
Rowland is entering his fourth year with the club having debuted during the 2020 season. This past year he appeared in 14 games, largely in a reserve role behind first choice No3 Isaac Salmon. The 23-year-old has previously captained Canada at u18 level and is already an established Canadian senior international. He won his 7th test cap as a replacement against Belgium in July.
Faust is just 20 years old and became the league’s youngest-ever player in his 2021 debut, a mark that has since been eclipsed by LA winger Kahanu Koi. Injuries limited Faust to just one MLR appearance in 2022 but he then represented Canada u20s in their August series at Guelph University. Primarily a wing for the Arrows, Faust can also line up in the midfield.
