One more year for Api Naikatini with Old Glory

Old Glory DC have re-signed second row Apisai Naikatini for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The Fijian international will celebrate his 38th birthday during what will be his 5th year in the league and 4th in the nation’s capital.

Despite being one of the oldest players in MLR, Naikatini remains a consistent performer for DC either as a starter or support player. This past season he made a dozen appearances as one of three senior locks in the rotation along with Stan South and Tevita Naqali.

South has already re-signed for the club while Naqali is also expected to return. The latter is currently playing for White Plains in the American Rugby Premiership. David Beach was loaned out to the Utah Warriors towards the end of the 2022 season but should be back in DC colors in 2023.
