NOLA signs former Brumbies playmaker Jordan Jackson-Hope

NOLA Gold have announced the signing of Australian midfielder Jordan Jackson-Hope on a two-year deal through the 2024 Major League Rugby season. The 26-year-old playmaker arrives from Eastern Suburbs in the Shute Shield, having recently returned from a professional contract in Japan.

Jackson-Hope was considered one of his country’s brightest young talents after representing Australia at the 2016 Junior World Championship. He made his Super Rugby debut for the Brumbies that same year and would stay with the team through 2019, joining the Sunwolves the following season.

A contract with Toyota Shokki initially brought Jackson-Hope to Japan, and after the demise of the Sunwolves he signed a two-year deal with Tokyo Gas. During the off-season he returned to Sydney to play for Easts, starting 17 games during the 2022 campaign.

Though also capable of filling in at flyhalf, Jackson-Hope is primarily known as a playmaking inside center. At New Orleans he will combine with another Brumbies man in Rodney Iona next season. The Gold have also added former Hurricanes scrumhalf Luke Campbell and Scottish international Dougie Fife.
