Malcolm May re-signs with NOLA Gold

NOLA Gold have re-signed versatile forward Malcolm May for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. It will be the fifth season in Louisiana for the former Penn State All-American.

May has steadily increased his playing time since joining the Gold in 2019. This past year saw him making a career-high 12 appearances with 7 starts. Although ideally a loose forward, all but one of May’s starts in 2022 were in the second row.

The 26-year-old is the 8th new contract signed by returning players during the offseason. Those previously confirmed include loosehead prop Kevin Sullivan, hooker Pat O’Toole, flankers Moni Tonga’uiha and Devin Short, midfielders Aaron Matthews and Ross Depperschmidt, and winger Harley Wheeler.
