The Utah Warriors have added more muscle to their forward pack with the addition of Tongan international Onehunga Havili. Though most often employed as a ball carrying No8, the 6’5″ (1.95m) specimen is also comfortable at lock or blindside flanker.
Havili, 26, moved to New Zealand as a teenager but made his breakthrough into professional rugby in Australia with the Perth Spirit, the development side of the Western Force. He would make four Super Rugby appearances in 2017 before spending one season with English Premiership side Exeter Chiefs.
In 2020 Havili moved to France on a two-year deal with Pro D2 side Aurillac. After leaving the club in June he linked up with Western Sydney in the Shute Shield. Last November he won his 8th test cap for Tonga, starting in the No6 shirt against Romania.
