Old Glory DC add Argentina XV flanker Lautaro Bavaro

Old Glory DC continue to put together their roster for the 2023 Major League Rugby (MLR) season. The franchise have signed Lautaro Bavaro from Argentina. The flanker joins from Buenos Aires club Hindú.

Bavaro is a former Jaguares XV player in the Súper Liga Americana de Rugby (SLAR). He played in the 2021 SLAR Final when Los Jaguares XV defeated Peñarol in Montevideo. Bavaro started the match for the Argentine side at flanker.

For Bavaro the move to Old Glory DC marks his second professional experience and first abroad. It comes at the age of 28. He takes a wealth of experience with him from Argentina. He has previously captained the Argentina XV, including against the USA in the Americas Rugby Championship.

Bavaro is the second Argentine and Hindú player to sign for Old Glory DC for the 2023 MLR season. The club has also recruited fly half Joaquín Díaz Bonilla. Both players are certainly to contribute positively to the team and to the league.
