Lucas Rumball re-signs with Toronto Arrows

Lucas Rumball has signed on for a fifth Major League Rugby campaign with the Toronto Arrows. The 27-year-old flanker has been a part of the senior leadership group since the team’s inception and was one of two vice-captains under skipper Mike Sheppard this past season along with Sam Malcolm.

Though it was mixed fortunes for the team, Rumball had another strong season for Toronto. He made 15 appearances and had the most playing minutes of anyone on the team. Rumball then captained Canada against both Belgium and Spain in July to bring his career total to 45 test caps.

There will be some new faces alongside Rumball in the Arrows pack next season. Travis Larsen has been signed from Seattle while Mitch Eadie is incoming from England. New Zealander Micaiah Torrance-Read bolsters the second row and Canadian-eligible prop Connor Grindal arrives from Australia.
