Jack Reeves scores double in Premiership Rugby Cup

Canadian-eligible center Jack Reeves scored two tries to lead Gloucester past Worcester in the first round of the Premiership Rugby Cup on Wednesday. The 22-year-old played on loan with the New England Free Jacks of Major League Rugby this past season.

Reeves started the match in the No13 shirt, partnering with Georgian international Giorgi Kveseladze in the midfield. In 2019 Reeves played for England in the u20 Six Nations, but he remains eligible to represent Canada through his late father.

There was a second connection to MLR found in the Wasps lineup. Former Austin lock Cam Dodson got the start against Newcastle. His AG teammate Sebastian de Chaves plays for Falcons but was not dressed. The Cup is a mid-week competition contested by Premiership reserve and academy players.
