NOLA re-signs hooker Pat O’Toole

NOLA Gold have re-signed Pat O’Toole for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 27-year-old has shared the No2 shirt with Canadian international Eric Howard for the past two seasons. He has previously represented the USA Selects at the 2018 Americas Pacific Challenge in Uruguay.

After playing every game during his first season with the Gold, O’Toole played 11 games with 7 starts and 5 tries scored in 2022. He missed 5 games due to injury. The Gold are the third MLR team that O’Toole has lined up for, following the San Diego Legion in 2018 and Houston SaberCats in 2019.

Other front rowers signed up for the 2023 campaign are loosehead props Matt Harmon and Kevin Sullivan, and tighthead Dino Waldren. Hooker duo Alex Lopeti and George Sharpe, who both debuted in 2022, are currently playing for the Gold Academy in the American Rugby Premiership.
