Lance Williams extends stay with Utah Warriors

Lance Williams has signed on for another season with the Utah Warriors. The 29-year-old loose forward has been a talismanic figure for the side since their inaugural 2018 campaign and was again in top form during the 2022 season.

This past season saw Williams playing all 16 games for the Warriors, all but one as a starter, while scoring five tries. He missed the entirety of the truncated 2020 season with a knee injury but has otherwise appeared in 55 of 58 games played during the remaining four seasons.

Despite his consistency in MLR, Williams remains uncapped at international level. Born in Hawai’i, he is also eligible for Samoa having lived there until returning to the USA at the age of 12. Williams was a team captain for the University of Hawai’i football team before signing on with Utah.
