Arrows sign Canadian international Cole Davis from ATL

Canadian international Cole Davis has signed with the Toronto Arrows for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 25-year-old Calgary native makes the move north after a short stint with Rugby ATL, who he joined halfway through the 2022 season from the Austin Gilgronis.

After making 8 appearances for the AG’s during the 2021 campaign, Davis returned to Texas to start this year but was then traded to the Ratlers without making an appearance. There he started two games late in the season before ATL was knocked out in the first round of the playoffs by New York.

Davis ended a three-year absence from test rugby by starting both of Canada’s test during their UK tour in July of 2021. Standing 6’2″ (1.88m), the powerfully-built winger joins Canadian-eligible center Nic Benn as a newcomer in the Arrows backline, which will also include returning flyhalf Sam Malcolm and midfielder Mitch Richardson. Uruguayan outside back Gastón Mieres has already confirmed his departure.
