Teams set for u20 match between Canada and Chile

The international u20 series at Guelph University continues on Thursday with two matches. Uruguay and Zimbabwe will square off at 3:30pm local time (12:30pm Pacific), followed by Canada vs Chile at 6:15pm local time (3:15pm Pacific). Both will be streamed live on YouTube.

Adam Roberts has made four personnel changes to the team that came up short against Zimbabwe. Two are in the forwards where Payton Teneycke replaces Tyler Matchem at tighthead prop, and Sol Jacques comes in for Matt Klimchuk on the blindside flank. Capilano prop Joe McNulty takes a spot on the bench.

In the backs there is a change at flyhalf with James Biss getting the start and Jamin Hodgkins switching to fullback in place of Ted Champion. It’s a straight swap on the wing with Alastair Mitchell coming in and Takoda McMullin dropping out. Lucas Scheck gets the call as one of the replacements.

Chile have made just one change up front with Ignacio Soublette starting on the flank and Mauro Saez missing out. No8 Franco Constantino takes over the captaincy with Tomás Álvarado dropped to the bench.

Manuel Bustamante moves up from fullback to fill the No10 jersey, with Damián Fliegel switching from wing to fullback. France-based Juan Noriega starts at inside center while Federico Contreras starts on the wing having been recently added to the senior high performance group.

The Canadians were beaten by Zimbabwe 32-24 on Saturday while Chile lost 27-3 to Uruguay.
