Will Kelly departs Toronto, signs for English club Chinnor

Will Kelly has bid adieu to the Toronto Arrows. The 25-year-old flyhalf has signed on with Chinnor, who competes in England’s third division National One. He is the second Canadian international confirmed on Toronto’s departure list following hooker Andrew Quattrin.

In his third campaign with the Arrows, Kelly appeared in 12 games and played the most minutes of his career to date but had only 3 starts as Sam Malcolm continues to dominate the No10 shirt. He again proved an effective goal kicker with a success rate over 75% including an impressive 8 for 9 performance off the tee against Dallas in Round 15.

Chinnor have an existing Canadian connection through Director of Rugby Richard Thorpe, a long-time professional who was a loose forward with the Maple Leafs at the 2015 World Cup. Kelly will be hoping to re-ignite his test career with his one cap to date coming against Brazil in February 2019.
