A 28-man Brazil roster is coming together for international duty. Brazil will play four matches in August against South American opposition. It will involve a two match tour of Chile and a Tri Nations competition in Barranquilla involving Colombia and Paraguay.
Brazil will play as the Brazil XV against the Chile XV in uncapped matches in Santiago and Temuco. They will take place on August 17 and 20. Os Tupis will then fly north to Barranquilla, Colombia for matches that will be capped and count towards World Rankings.
Head Coach Fernando Portugal has named a roster containing players based at home and abroad. Those selected that play outside of Brazil are Moisés Duque, Leonel Moreno, Nelson Rebolo, Felipe Rosa and Diego Vidal.
The two tours serve as Brazil’s on-field preparations for the next Rugby World Cup cycle. Brazil is looking to following Chile’s tremendous process to be able to compete in RWC 2027 qualifying.
