Eagles winger Lotte Clapp re-signs for Saracens

Lotte Clapp will stay on with Saracens for the 2022-2023 Premier 15s season. The 27-year-old winger was part of the championship-winning side this past season, her third Premier 15s title with the club, and will build on her 126 appearances in what will be her 10th year with the London-based side.

After winning 10 test caps for England and representing the Red Roses on the World Sevens Series, Clapp switched her allegiance to the USA this year using the Union Transfer regulation. She qualifies through her American-born mother. Clapp debuted for the Eagles in the Pacific Four. She is now set to compete in October’s World Cup with her adopted side.

This past season also saw USA duo Carly Waters and Alev Kelter playing with Saracens, along with Canadians Alex Ellis, Mackenzie Carson, and Alysha Corrigan. Janna Slevinsky signed for the club but departed in November after suffering a serious knee injury. To date none of the North Americans have been confirmed as re-signing for the upcoming season.
