Eagles prop Charli Jacoby moves from Loughborough to Exeter

USA international Charli Jacoby has signed for Exeter Chiefs. The 32-year-old prop from Los Angeles played for Loughborough Lightning during the 2021-2022 Premier 15s season. She joins five Eagles teammates at Sandy Park, including fellow front rower Hope Rogers.

Jacoby made the move to England in September and made 20 appearances for Loughborough across all competitions, scoring 4 tries. The Lightning missed out on the playoffs after finishing in 7th spot. Exeter were 2nd-place finishers during the regular season and made the final opposite Saracens.

With preparations for November’s World Cup in New Zealand taking priority, it’s likely that Jacoby will make her Exeter debut after the tournament. Other USA internationals at the club are Kate Zackary, Rachel Johnson, Gabby Cantorna, and Jennine Detiveaux. Exeter also feature Canadian trio DaLeaka Menin, Emily Tuttosi, and Gabrielle Senft.
