Canada to face All Blacks XV in October

Canada’s end of year matches will involve a game against the All Blacks XV. The team is the rebranded junior All Blacks, the New Zealand next-of-xv. The All Blacks XV will play four matches in late 2022, one of which will be against Canada.

The All Blacks XV will play a three-week tour. Matches are to be in North America, and Europe. Of the four two have been confirmed as Canada vs All Blacks XV and the Barbarians vs All Blacks XV. The venue of Canada’s match is unconfirmed but will be a home match. The Barbarians fixture will be in London, UK. Both fixtures will be uncapped.

Two additional matches are to be added. They are to be in the form of one match against the next-of-XV of a Tier 1 side and the other against a Tier 2 test team.

Saturday, October 29 – Canada vs All Blacks XV (venue tba)
Sunday, November 13 – Barbarians vs All Blacks XV (Tottenham Stadium, London, UK)
