Three uncapped players called up to Eagles squad

The USA Eagles have reinforced their training roster for the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers against Chile with the addition of four players, three of whom are uncapped at test level. Old Glory loosehead prop Jack Iscaro, ATL No8 Jason Damm, and Austin utility back Chris Mattina join the squad with San Diego eightman Tevita Tameilau recalled after a three-year hiatus.

Iscaro and Damm have previously represented the USA at u20 level, while Mattina has been capped by the Eagles Sevens squad. Tameilau won 15 caps between 2016 and 2019 and played professionally in Europe but ultimately missed out on selection for the World Cup in Japan.

USA Rugby has not clarified if players have withdrawn from the squad though sources indicate that Malon Al-Jiboori and Will Hooley are currently injured. None of the incoming quartet will feature against the French Barbarians in Houston on Friday.
