Titi Lamositele is a French Top 14 Champion

Titi Lamositele is a French Top 14 Champion. The Washington state prop started for Montpellier in the final against Castres on Friday. Lamositele and his fellow forwards put-on an outstanding performance to tumble Castres early on. Montpellier won 29-10.

Montpellier were so impressive early-on that they established a 20-0 lead. Castres were down and out. It was compounded by Argentine fly half Benjamín Urdapilleta being forced off with an ankle injury. His place in the July Internationals now appears over. Uruguayan Santiago Arata also started for Castres. He had a try assist in what was Castres’ only try of the night.

Lamositele started at loose head prop. His title follows that of David Ainu’u helping Toulouse to the Champions Cup title in 2021. Both players are to switch jerseys from club to country shortly.

Indeed, Gary Gold and the USA Eagles will have big plans for Lamositele in July. The USA are to play Chile in vital matches. The winner of the home-and-away series will qualify for Rugby World Cup 2023 as Americas 2.
