Felipe Berchesi will remain in France and at Dax. The Uruguayan fly half has extended his contract with the French club for one further season. Berchesi has been playing for Dax since 2017.

Dax play in the Nationale, the French third division after the Top 14 and Pro D2. Dax and Berchesi previously played in the Pro D2. Prior to joining Dax, Berchesi also played in France for Chambéry and Carcassone. He also played in Italy for Badia.

The native of Montevideo is a product of Carrasco Polo. Berchesi started playing rugby at the age of eight. He won the Uruguayan championship with Carrasco Polo in 2009, 2011 and 2012. The same period was when he made his test debut for Uruguay against Portugal.

Eleven years after debuting for Los Teros, Berchesi remains a leading player for Uruguay. He played in RWC 2015 and 2019 and is in the frame for RWC 2023. The 30-year-old is likely to add to his 39 test caps in July against Romania.
