Haitian Kévin Fabien signs extension with Brive Espoirs

Kévin Fabien has signed a new contract with Brive Espoirs. The center has signed following a strong showing during the 2021-2022 season. He was a regular in the mid-field where he made thirteen starts, many of which were with Juan Manuel Alonso who has returned to Uruguay.

Like Alonso, Fabien has a connection to the Americas. The 19-year-old is from Haiti. He is, nonetheless, a French rugby product. He started playing young and featured for Red Star Club Champigny from 2012-2016. He subequently joined Stade Français’s junior system in 2016 before linking up with Brive. The teenager is now on track to play in France’s elite. Fabien may go on to play for Brive in the Top 14.

Brive is home to Argentine second-rower Lucas Paulos and Colombian Andrés Zafra. Pumas N8 Rodrigo Bruni signed for the club from Pro D2 side Vannes for the new season. Paulos and Bruni are on the Argentine roster to face Scotland in July.
