Eduardo Bello moves from URC to Premiership; from Zebre to Saracens

Eduardo Bello will move from Italy to England. The Argentine prop has been recruited by Saracens from Zebre. It marks the second professional league and country of the career of the Puma. He was recruited by Zebre from Argentina in 2017. In 2021 he made his debut for Los Pumas.

The Argentine tighthead prop has played more than 80 matches for Zebre. He moves to play in England at the age of 26. He earned all three of his test caps in 2021. The first was against Australia in the final round of the 2021 Rugby Championship. He also played for Los Pumas in the November tour of Europe.

Bello is a product of San Martín de Villa María in Córdoba. The province produced a number of Pumas now playing for elite teams. Among them are Facundo Gigena (London Irish), Enrique Pieretto (Glasgow Warriors), Matías Alemanno (Gloucester), Joaquín Oviedo (Perpignan), Juan Cruz Mallía (Toulouse), and Santiago Carreras (Gloucester).

Gigena and Pieretto are props on the Argentina XV roster for July. Bello was not selected for the July Internationals against Scotland nor for the Argentina XV’s tour to Georgia and Portugal. He is, nonetheless, likely to play test rugby later on this year for his country.
