Montauban recruit Nicolás Solveyra from Houston SaberCats

Montauban have recruited an Argentine prop. The French club will be the new home of Nicolás Solveyra. The 27-year-old will make the move from Major League Rugby (MLR) to the Pro D2 next season.

Solveyra joined the Houston SaberCats from Argentina in 2020. He made the move to professionalist following time in the Argentine academy system; he won titles playing for the Argentina XV and Jaguares XV.

Solveyra considered for Los Jaguares for the 2020 Super Rugby season. Having missed out, he moved to the USA for MLR. He now prepares to move to France following the MLR 2022 season.

The loose head prop is a product of CUBA (Club Universitario de Buenos Aires). He is uncapped by Argentina but remains on the radar for a possible call-up. Los Pumas Head Coach Michael Cheika will be based in France.
