Diego Galetto and Petrarca win Italian Top 10 title

Córdoba provincial second-rower Diego Galetto started for Petrarca in a winning effort today. Petrarca Rugby defeated Rugby Rovigo Delta 19-6 to win the Italian Top 10 title. It means Italy have a new champion as Rovigo won the title in 2021.

Galetto started the final in his natural position of lock. He played against other Argentines. Facundo Ferrario started at inside center for Rovigo while Lucas Bur played directly opposite Galeto in locking the scrum.

Galetto is a former Argentina XV player. The native of Córdoba is now a long-time servant of Petrarca. He has played for the club since 2018. The 29-year-old is a product of Uru Cure Rugby Club in Río Cuarto, Córdoba province. He is uncapped but has played for the Argentina XV.
