Argentina XV to tour Georgia and Portugal in July

The Argentina XV is to tour Georgia and Portugal in July. The mid-year matches will see Argentina’s next-of-XV up against reputable opponents in Europe. The matches will be the Argentina XV’s first games outside of South American since the 2019 Americas Rugby Championship (ARC).

Since winning the 2019 ARC, the Argentina XV’s matches have all been in South America. The Argentina XV followed the ARC by playing against Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Namibia, Russia and Uruguay in 2019. They played against Brazil, Chile and Uruguay in 2020 and against Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay in 2021.

The Argentina XV played in Georgia in 2018. The team included Pumas Mayco Vivas, Santiago Grondona, Francisco Gorrissen, Rodrigo Bruni, Felipe Ezcurra, Lucas Mensa, Santiago Carreras, and Facundo Cordero.

The upcoming tour will see the Argentina XV against Georgia on July 03 and against Portugal on July 09. Both matches will be officiated by Italian referee Gianluca Gnecchi.
