Evan Olmstead and Mike Sosene-Feagai will be staying in the south of France for the foreseeable future. The duo have signed for Pro D2 side Agen on two-year deals through the end of the 2023-2024 season. Both players competed in the Top 14 this past year with Biarritz and Toulon respectively.
Olmstead, 31, joined Biarritz from Newcastle Falcons following the 2019 World Cup. The Canadian lock helped the team achieve promotion to the Top 14 last year, though they will now return to the Pro D2 next season. In three seasons with BOPB the second row played over 50 games across all competitions.
Sosene-Feagai initially signed for Toulon as a medical joker after leaving Major League Rugby side Old Glory DC. He was then extended for the rest of the season and made 20 appearances across all competitions, including four starts. The 29-year-old hooker should feature for the USA in their upcoming World Cup Qualifying series against Chile.
Agen will continue in the Pro D2 next season after finishing 13th this past year. On the departures list is Georgian lock Grigor Kerdikoshvili, formerly of the Glendale Raptors.
