2022 SLAR Semi Finals Moved from Saturday to Friday

The Súper Liga de America (SLAR) Semi Finals have been moved forward from Saturday to Friday. They were originally scheduled to be played on May 21 but will now be on May 20. Both fixtures will take place at the Estadio Charrúa in Montevideo, Uruguay.

In the battle of 1st vs 4th, Peñarol will have home advantage against Los Cafeteros Pro. That Semi Final will kick-off at 6pm local time. The second Semi Final will be 2nd vs 3rd with Selknam up against the SLAR 2021 champions, Los Jaguares XV. Kick-off is scheduled for 9pm.

Peñarol finished the regular season with 40 competition points. They came in the form of 8 wins and eight bonus points. Selknam also had am 8-2 season record. Selknam finished second with 37 points which included five bonus points.

Los Jaguares XV had a 6-4 season record for SLAR 2022. The Argentine side finished with 31 competition points. They were in the form of six wins and seven bonus points. Los Cafeteros Pro finished fourth with a 4-6 record. The Colombians won four matches and claimed four bonus points.
