Calvisano completed a hard-earned 16-12 Semi Final victory over Petrarca on Saturday. The Semi Final included Argentine players. The return match will take place next weekend. It will determine who advances to the Top 10 Final.
Facundo Panceyra Garrido captained Calvisano. The former Argentine 7’s player put in a captains performance as he was a try-scorer. He played at outside center. Former Jaguares XV N8 Tomas Bernasconi also played for Calvisano. He was a replacement as was Argentine flanker Bautista Grenon.
Córdoba second-rower Diego Galetto started for Petrarca. The former Argentina XV player is a long-time servant of Petrarca. He has played for the club since 2018.
Calvisano face Protract again next weekend. They do so with an eye on the winner of Sunday’s semi final between Rovigo and Valorugby Emilia. The winner, after home-and-away semi finals, will face Calvisano or Petrarca in the 2022 Italian Top 10 Final in Parma on May 28.
