Los Pumas’ November tour to Europe has seen game two of three now officially confirmed. Argentina will open their tour against England in London and subsequently play against Wales in Cardiff and Scotland in Edinburgh. The three-match tour is to be Argentina’s final series of matches in Europe before Rugby World Cup 2023.
Argentina’s match against Wales will take place on Saturday, November 12. It is placed six days after the opening match of November for the South Americans; Argentina face England on Sunday, November 06.
Wales last played host to Argentina in July 2021. The two-match-series was relocated from Argentina. Los Pumas won the series after defeating Wales by a record score in game two. The teams competed to a draw in game one. In that match, Los Pumas were down to 14-men early following a red card to Juan Cruz Mallía.
The July 2021 Internationals had been set to see Wales touring Argentina and Uruguay. The changes meant a rare July tour for Los Pumas to Romania and Wales. The Welsh were without players involved in the British and Irish Lions’ tour to South Africa.
The Wales vs Argentina fixture may see the involvement of Pumas who play in Wales. Scvrum-half Gonzalo Bertranou plays for the Dragons in East Wales while flanker Tomás Lezana plays for the Scarlets in West Wales.
