Highlights: USA Falcons vs WPL Selects

The USA Falcons were 44-5 winners over the Women’s Premier League Selects at the Colorado School of Mines on Saturday. It featured the best of the USA’s domestic talent vying for potential spots on this year’s Rugby World Cup roster. A live stream was not provided but highlights from the match can be seen below.

Kayla Lawson led the way for the Falcons with a first half hat-trick, supported by a brace from captain Kathryn Johnson. Kaitlyn Broughton added one try with five kicks coming from the boot of Kristin Bitter and one from McKenzie Hawkins. The only selects score of the match was a try to Bailey Johnson.

The Women’s Premier League is due to kick off on April 9th for a 10-week season, with Championships coming in June. Eagles coach Rob Cain has concluded his spring assemblies and will now turn his focus to the Pacific Four series to be played this summer prior to October’s World Cup.
