Season over for Arrows scrumhalf Andrew Ferguson

Toronto Arrows scrumhalf Andrew Ferguson will play no further part in the 2022 Major League Rugby season. The Canadian international tore a hamstring in the season opener against the Seattle Seawolves and has now been advised that the injury will require surgical repair.

It’s a blow to the 29-year-old who was set to play a key role for the team as an alternative to fellow international Ross Braude. The Arrows have since signed Chris Bell from England to fill the gap, while Canada u20 select Cole Brown remains recovering from his own injury.

Having spent the past week recovering from the win over Old Glory in Leesburg, the Arrows will return to action on Saturday when they face the New England Free Jacks at Veterans Memorial Stadium. Toronto currently occupies 4th spot in the Eastern Conference, six points behind their hosts.
