Canadian international Will Percillier has signed a two-year senior contract with Stade Français, committing him to the Parisian Top 14 side through the end of the 2023-2024 season. It’s the first full-time professional deal for the 23-year-old scrumhalf having initially arrived on an academy deal in 2019.
Percillier has trained with the senior squad for the past two seasons and has made 12 appearances for the club since his debut in January of 2020. He started a Champions Cup match for the first time in January against Connacht, and subsequently made his first Top 14 start last month against Montpellier.
Despite his standing as Canada’s only scrumhalf in a top tier competition, Percillier was not included in his country’s World Cup Qualifying matches against the USA or Chile for reasons that remain unclear. His most recent test appearances were as a replacement against Wales and England in July 2021.
