Cafeteros Pro Roster for SLAR 2022

A 30-man roster will take to the field wearing the colors of Los Cafeteros Pro in the 2022 Súper Liga Americana de Rugby (SLAR). The Colombian entrant will have 10 players from Colombia and 20 from Argentina. Not only are Argentines detailed on the roster but also behind the scenes with Argentina heavily involved.

The alliance between Colombia Rugby (Fecorugby) and Unión Argentina de Rugby (UAR) also involves Sudamérica Rugby. Combined the result is that the Colombians will be well-prepared, well-coached and competitive in SLAR 2022.

Changes from the 2021 roster have seen many Argentines departing to play professional rugby elsewhere. Some will be playing for Los Jaguares XV against Los Cafeteros Pro this year.

The 2022 Cafeteros Pro roster is without Colombians Danny Giraldo, Santiago Mejía and Jhon Carlos Álvarez, all of whom are injured. Gerson Ortiz is now playing in Europe.

The roster contains two props with a strong connection to Uruguay. Colombians Carlos Angulo and Daniel Gutiérrez both played for Carrasco Polo in Montevideo. Alain Altahona previously played in Argentina.
