Arrows sign Canadian international Brock Webster

The Toronto Arrows have looked to patch up their injury-hit backline with the addition of Brock Webster for the remainder of the 2022 Major League Rugby season. A Canadian international in both 7s and XVs, the 21-year-old Ontario native has most recently been playing with the Pacific Pride national development side in the BC Premier League.

Webster made his World Sevens Series debut at the age of just 18 and suited up at the Dubai tournaments late last year. He earned his first test cap this past September in the World Cup Qualifying series against the USA, surprisingly picked on the wing despite playing flyhalf for the national u20 side.

Toronto were without nine backfielders for their game against LA on Friday. The returns of flyhalf Sam Malcolm and fullback Conor McCann are now imminent. Webster, who can also play fullback, could make his MLR debut as early as Saturday when the Arrows take on the Gold in New Orleans.
