Dallas signs former SaberCats eightman Adriaan Booysen

The Dallas Jackals have signed former SaberCats No8 Adriaan Booysen for the remainder of the 2022 Major League Rugby season. Known for his powerful carrying ability, the 25-year-old represented Namibia at the 2019 World Cup and appeared in all four of their tests in 2021.

Booysen arrived in Houston ahead of the 2020 campaign and made an immediate impact. Across his two seasons at AVEVA Stadium he appeared in all 21 games played by the club, one of only two players to do so along with Sam Windsor.

It could be a rapid call to action for Booysen, who departed Windhoek yesterday. The Jackals are set to play their historic home opener at Choctaw Stadium on Saturday, ironically against Houston though few of his former teammates remain with the SaberCats.
