Referees from Five Countries named for SLAR 2022

Referees from five countries will take charge of matches in SLAR 2022. The 2022 Súper Liga Americana de Rugby season will begin on Sunday, March 13 in Valparaíso, Chile.

The referee and assistant referees for the season’s opening match and subsequent fixtures will be announced over the coming days. Today’s announcement sees the three full-time trio of Damián Schneider (Argentina), Nehuén Jauri Rivero (Argentina) and Francisco González (Uruguay) being joined by five others.

Cauã Ricardo (Brazil) is back for another season. Like the other officials, Ricardo will officiate SLAR matches in Spanish. Of note is the inclusion of Juan Manuel León (Colombia). He will make his SLAR officiating debut.

The panel also contains a women. Nerea Livoni (Argentina) will act as an assistant referee. She is one of seven assistant referees. Adrian Bogado (Paraguay) is another. He is Paraguay’s leading official at present.
