Os Cobras have recruited players from Argentina and France for the 2022 Súper Liga Americana de Rugby (SLAR) season. The players are of a notable level; both men have played representative rugby for their countries.
Mariano Filomeno arrives in SLAR following time in Europe. He played for CRAT and Getxo in Spain and also for Kuban in Russia. The 30-year-old prop has previously played for the Argentina XV.
Frenchman Simon Bienvenu will be playing in the Americas for a second time. He previously played Major League Rugby (MLR) for Austin in 2019. The 26-year-old is a native of Toulouse. He played for the Top 14 club as well as doing so for Racing 92 and for France 7’s. His natural position is center.
