Argentina lose Álvarez Fourcade and Revol for Málaga Sevens

Argentina will be without Santiago Álvarez Fourcade and Gastón Revol for the Málaga Sevens. The senior players and Los Pumas 7’s captains are in self isolation. Head coach Santiago Gómez Cora has named Felipe del Mestre as captain for the tournament.

The Seven de Málaga, is the third tournament of the 2021-2022 World Sevens Series. Revol is the most experienced Argentine player with 378 caps.

Teenager Agustín Fraga will make his debut for Los Pumas 7’s. He is a tall player at 1.92m and weighs 97kg. The 19-year-old is a product of Club Ciudad de Buenos Aires. He first played in the u10’s. His position in rugby XV is wing fullback. His prior representative duty include playing for Argentina u18 and u20.

Los Pumas 7’s will compete in Group C in Málaga. The South Americans will face Jamaivca, Spain and the USA in the pool stage.
