Julián Montoya goes over for Leicester Tigers vs Wasps

Julián Montoya was a try scorer in the latest round of the English Premiership. The Argentine hooker scored a pick-and-go try for the Leicester Tigers who played on the road against the Wasps. The Tigers were beaten 16-13 in what was their first defeat of the 2021-2022 English Premiership season.

Montoya was joined in the Tigers’ team by Matías Moroni. The Argentine center featured in the second half as a replacement. Both players have been busy for the Leicester Tigers all season. The same is true of the 2020-2021 season and of Los Pumas’ test matches throughout 2021.

The Wasps’ win over the Leicester Tigers does not affect the standings. Leicester remain on top with an eight point lead over the second places Saracens. After 12 rounds Leicester have an 11-1 Premiership season record and have 51 competition points.
