Agustín Creevy signs new deal with London Irish

Agustín Creevy is set to end his career in the English Premiership after signing a new contract with London Irish. While specifics terms were not included in the brief release, other sources indicate the deal extends his agreement with the club through the end of the 2022-2023 season.

The former Pumas captain has been in top form since arriving in August of 2020. He scored six tries in 26 games across all competitions leading into this season, and is leading the Premiership in tries this year with 9 from 11 games. Creevy also scored two tries in the Challenge Cup fixture against Pau last month.

It remains to be seen if Creevy will return to international contention with Argentina. He last played for his country at Rugby World Cup 2019. Under the new Union Transfer regulation he would qualify to play for Italy ahead of RWC 2023, but Creevy has given no indication he is interested in doing so.
