LA secures young flanker Cyrille Cama on two-year deal

The LA Giltinis have secured 20-year-old flanker Cyrille Cama on a two-year contract through the 2023 Major League Rugby season. It’s a re-signing of sorts, with the USA u20 select called up to the senior squad late in the 2021 season to cover for injuries.

Cama turned heads with an impressing showing at the World Tens Series event in Bermuda while playing for the Rhinos Rugby side in November 2020. He was summoned by the Giltinis this past July and featured off the bench against the Utah Warriors in the final week of the regular season.

Though primarily a back row player, Cama is also being considered as a long-term prospect at hooker. He is originally from Fiji but moved with his family to Los Angeles in 2013.
